Just wanted to bid a farewell to all of our loyal readers out there. I've enjoyed sharing some entertainment news, gossip, and events with you over the semester. But all good things must come to an end. I'm finally graduating and getting on with my life. No, i don't have a full-time job, but this is what I do have going on this summer, post-graduation:
1. part-time communication/PR intern at Res Care
2. part-time server at Hoops
3. part-time server at Lucky Strike
hmmm it is my hope that Res Care will offer me a full-time posiition once my summmer internship ends and i will finally have a "real job." then again, the money is great working at both the sports bar and the bowling alley.
I'll figure something out! Life's a mystery like that.

Britney gets Busted
Britney spears was pulled over for speeding in LA yesterday. The singer was let go with a warning. Hmm looks like she's still got it! She must have been on her way to practice. Britney will be performing at the House of Blues later on this week. Didn't Fed-Ex get booed off stage at the same stage? this should be interesting! I hope she's ready for this, it's obvious she's been working out check out the abs she's gotten back! But how will she keep a wig on her head throughout it all? She almost lost a brunette wig the other day while driving on the freeway with her convertable top down! ohhh Britney, you never cease to amaze me!
Rock and Bowl
Fourth Street Live's Lucky Strike, the kick ass glow bowling and drinking spot, will be sponsoring another Friday evening of "Rock and Bowl."
I just started working at this cool place last week, and I'm pretty excited about this weekend's festivities. Not only is it Oaks, but it is also the night of the Godsmack concert. The rock group will be perfroming at the Palace downtown, but the after party will be held at Lucky Strike. So yes, I will be able to meet Godsmack!! I don't listen to their music, but I could get into it, plus it's still cool to be around such talented and successful musicians.
Let's see..not to name drop or anything but we're also expecting Michael Jordan, Michael Vick, Jim Carey, Usher, Nick Lachey, Vanessa Manillo, and DJ AM. OOOOOhhhh! Break out the camera!
The bars close at 6 a.m. Derby weekend....who's ready to party hard??? I'll be serving your drinks =)

derby festivities!!
So many things going on this season for the Kentcuky Derby!! Last Saturday was Thunder over Louisville, the official kick-off for the Derby, then the Ballon Race, the Mini-Marathon, and the next up-coming events are Oaks and Derby. There is always a buzz around Louisville during this time because this is one of the largest events the city hosts all year long. The Chow Wagon began on April 26th and goes until Oaks Day. The Chow Wagon is a great place to go hang outside and get some good food and drinks with a great Derby atmosphere...so you've still got time-go check out the Chow Wagon while the hype of the Kentucky Derby is in action!!
Wildcat Wildnight!!
So, I know that I said I would let you know about my first Wildcat Wildnight experience at the University of Kentucky went last Thursday night...It costs $10 at the door, and I can honestly say it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The main performer was Amos Lee with one opening act that was amazing. The concert lasted for 2-3 hours, and I would say that I most definitely got my moneys worth out of it. The crowd was just large enough to have a good time, but not too big. The only thing I'm bummed about, is not finding out about these sooner. You know what that means, next fall is gonna be WILD! thunder!
thunder drew record crowds this year!! the weather was amazing, and if you were there, you know what i am talking about. the air show was awesome as usual, and the fireworks were beautiful. there was a tribute to those who had been affected by the tragedy at virginia tech. thunder is awesome every year, and i am so happy louisville is the place that it happens.
relay for life
This past weekend was the fundraiser for cancer, the Relay for Life. It was my first experience attending the Relay for Life, but it was definitely memorable. There were many family and friends there of those that have cancer or had died from it. The experience was very moving and it was great to see all of the support. The race takes place at Papa John's Stadium and there was live music and food. If you're ever interested in supporting a good cause, next years race would be awesome to attend!
